THERMAL IMAGING SURVEY

The most common application of infrared thermography survey also known as thermal imaging is detecting “hot connections” in electrical installations. It is a well- known and accepted predictive maintenance technique that can identify poor connections, overloaded circuits, failing components or imbalanced loads. Any faults on electrical systems are expensive in terms of plant downtime, damage, loss of production or risk from fire.

Surveys are carried out while electrical supplies are live and no interruption to your power will occur during the course of the survey. Sea Shell conduct Thermography Surveys on switchgears, control panels, transformers, motors and controls and all accessible items of distribution equipment to detect and locate faults which could lead to system failure.
